Skateboarder and active philanthropist Oakley’s Ryan Sheckler wins the Favorite Male Athlete Award at the 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards. The Kids’ Choice awards honors the year’s biggest television, movie, and musical acts voted by Nickelodeon television viewers. The award was presented live on Saturday March, 27th on FOX by Chris Rock, David Spade and Lilly Collins.
Sharing the stage with Ryan were award winners Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z and fellow Wasserman Media Group athlete Misty May Treanor. This year was a record breaking one for the Kids’ Choice Awards, with over 115 million fans voting for their favorites.
“I feel like being in the same category as Kobe, LeBron and Shaun White is crazy. These are a group of guys that I look up to. I have to thank the fans for this.”
The other nominees for Favorite Male Athlete included Kobe Bryan, LeBron James and Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White.
